Terms and Conditions for Heritage Investments Group

    • Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for ensuring all information provided is accurate and up to date. Inaccurate or outdated information may lead to account suspension or closure.

 

    • Account Types: We offer various account types, including savings, checking, and investment accounts. Each account comes with specific terms, fees, and features, which will be disclosed at the time of opening.

 

    • Account Maintenance: You must maintain sufficient funds in your account to cover transactions and applicable fees. Fees for account maintenance, overdrafts, or other services are outlined in our Fee Schedule, available upon request or on our website.

 


4. Deposits and Withdrawals

 

    • Deposits: You may deposit funds via cash, check, electronic transfer, or other methods accepted by the Bank. Deposits may be subject to holds as outlined in our Funds Availability Policy.

 

    • Withdrawals: Withdrawals can be made through ATMs, in-person visits, or electronic transfers, subject to daily limits and available account balance. We may refuse or limit withdrawals due to insufficient funds or for security reasons.

 

    • Transaction Limits: Some accounts may have restrictions on the number or amount of transactions per month. Exceeding these limits may incur fees or result in account conversion to a different type.

 


5. Online Banking

 

    • Access: Online banking is available to customers who enroll and accept the Online Banking Agreement.

 

    • Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity conducted through your online banking account.

 

    • Liability: Heritage Investments Group is not liable for losses due to unauthorized access unless such access results from our negligence.

 


6. Fees and Charges

 

    • Fee Schedule: We may charge fees for services such as account maintenance, overdrafts, wire transfers, and stop payments. The current Fee Schedule is available on our website and at our branches.

 

    • Changes to Fees: We reserve the right to modify fees at any time. You will be notified of fee changes as required by applicable law.

 


7. Interest and Earnings

 

    • Interest-Bearing Accounts: Certain accounts may earn interest. Interest rates and annual percentage yields (APY) will be disclosed at account opening and are subject to change at our discretion.

 

    • Calculation and Payment: Interest is calculated and credited based on the specific terms of each account type.

 


8. Overdrafts and Insufficient Funds

 

    • Overdraft Fees: If a transaction exceeds your available balance, we may, at our discretion, pay or decline it. Overdraft fees may apply if we cover the transaction.

 

    • Overdraft Protection: You may enroll in overdraft protection, linking your account to another account or credit line to cover overdrafts. Additional fees may apply.

 


9. Account Statements and Notices

 

    • Statements: We will provide periodic account statements, delivered electronically or by mail based on your preference.

 

    • Review of Statements: You must review your statements and report any errors or unauthorized transactions to us within 30 days of the statement date.

 

    • Notices: We may send account-related notices or updates to these Terms via mail, email, or online banking.

 


10. Closing an Account

 

    • Customer-Initiated Closure: You may close your account at any time by notifying us and withdrawing all funds.

 

    • Bank-Initiated Closure: We reserve the right to close your account for reasons such as inactivity, suspected fraud, or violation of these Terms.

 

    • Outstanding Obligations: Closing an account does not relieve you of responsibility for outstanding fees or negative balances.

 


11. Dormant Accounts

 

    • Dormancy: Accounts with no customer-initiated activity for a specified period may be deemed dormant. Dormant accounts may incur fees or be subject to escheatment to the state as required by law.

 


12. Privacy and Confidentiality

 

    • Privacy Policy: Your personal information is protected under our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect, use, and safeguard your data.

 

    • Confidentiality: We will maintain the confidentiality of your information in accordance with applicable laws, though we may disclose it when legally required or to protect our rights.
